The drug can also be used in infants over 6 weeks and children under 10 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women, elderly people, as well as persons who have undergone resection of hemorrhoids (removal of bulging and inflamed veins of the rectum).
The dose of the drug is selected individually.
When treating constipation, adults are usually prescribed from 15 to 45 ml for the first 3 days, then switch to a maintenance dose of 10-25 ml. It is better to take the drug once a day in the morning with meals.
Initial dose (3 days):
Adults – 15-45 ml of solution (1-3 tablespoons).
Children 7-14 years old – 15 ml of solution (1 tablespoon).
Children from 1 year to 6 years – 5-10 ml of solution (1-2 teaspoons).
Infants – 5 ml of solution (1 teaspoon).
Continuation of treatment:
Adults – 15-30 ml of solution (1-2 tablespoons).
Children 7-14 years old – 10 ml of solution (2 teaspoons)
Children from 1 year to 6 years – 5-10 ml of solution (1-2 teaspoons)
Infants – 2.5-5 ml of solution (1 teaspoon).
For hepatic (portal) encephalopathy, 30-45 ml of solution (2-3 tablespoons) is prescribed 3 times a day. Doses should be selected individually to obtain soft stools 2-3 times a day.
When taken, the solution can be diluted with water or juice.
After opening the bottle, the shelf life of the drug is 28 days.
