Ezolekt

Ezolekt 20 mg: each enteric-coated tablet contains:

• Esomeprazole Magnesium USP (as trihydrate) eq. esomeprazole 20 mg.
• Approved colors are used to coat tablets.

Ezolekt 40 mg: each enteric-coated tablet contains:

• Esomeprazole Magnesium USP (as trihydrate) eq. esomeprazole 40 mg.
• Approved colors are used to coat tablets.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease:

• treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis;
• long-term maintenance treatment after healing of erosive reflux esophagitis to prevent relapse;
• symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum as part of combination therapy:

• treatment of duodenal ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori;
• prevention of relapses of peptic ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori.

Patients taking NSAIDs for a long time:

• healing of stomach ulcers associated with taking NSAIDs;
• prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with taking NSAIDs in patients at risk.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome or other conditions characterized by pathological hypersecretion, including idiopathic hypersecretion.

Use internally. The Ezolect tablet is swallowed whole with water. The tablet must not be chewed or crushed.
The dose and duration of administration depend on the indications and effectiveness of therapy.

Adults and children over 12 years old:

Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 40 mg once a day for 4 weeks. An additional 4-week course of treatment is recommended in patients whose esophagitis has not been cured or whose symptoms persist.

Long-term prevention of relapses in patients with cured esophagitis: 20 mg once daily. Symptomatic treatment of reflux esophagitis: for patients without esophagitis, 20 mg once a day for 4 weeks (if symptoms do not disappear after 4 weeks of treatment, additional examination of the patient should be performed). After eliminating the symptoms, you can switch to the on-demand regimen of taking the drug: 20 mg once a day when symptoms appear. In patients who have been treated with NSAIDs and who are at risk of developing gastric or duodenal ulcers, further symptom control using an on-demand regimen is not recommended.

Eradication of Helicobacter pylori (in combination with antibacterial agents): 20 mg twice a day for 7 days.

Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with NSAID treatment: the recommended dose is 20 mg once a day. Duration of treatment is 4-8 weeks.
