Gelocer

Each modified-release tablet contains:

Gliclazide BP 60 mg.

Diabetes mellitus type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) of moderate severity with initial manifestations of diabetic microangiopathy, as well as with insufficient effectiveness of diet therapy, physical activity and weight loss.

The drug is administered orally. It is recommended to swallow the tablets whole.
Adults: The daily dose can range from 30 to 120 mg per day, which are taken in one dose, during breakfast. If the patient has forgotten to take the required dose of the drug, the number of tablets should not be doubled the next day. Like any other hypoglycemic agent, the dose of Gelocer MV should be selected depending on the individual metabolic needs of the patient.

Initial dose:
The initial recommended dose is 30 mg (1 tablet Gelocer MV 30 mg) per day.
In case of control of blood glucose, the drug at this dose can be used for maintenance therapy. The daily dose of the drug can vary from 30 mg
up to 60, 90 or 120 mg per day. The interval between increases in each dose should be no earlier than 1 month, with the exception of patients whose blood glucose concentrations do not decrease after two weeks of treatment. In such cases, the dose of the drug can be increased at the end of the second week of treatment.
The maximum recommended daily dose is 120 mg (2 modified-release tablets Gelocer MV 60 mg)
