Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent

Manual

Lambrotin 15 mg / 2.5 mg: every 5 ml contains:

  • Ambroxol hydrochloride BP 15 mg;
  • Cetirizine hydrochloride BP 2.5 mg;

Lambrotin 30 mg / 5 mg: every 5 ml contains:

  • Ambroxol hydrochloride BP 30 mg;
  • Cetirizine hydrochloride BP 5 mg.
  • diseases of the respiratory tract with the release of viscous sputum;
  • bronchial asthma with difficulty in sputum discharge;
  • acute and chronic bronchitis;
  • pneumonia;
  • bronchiectasis;
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.

The drug Lambrotin is prescribed orally, during meals, with a small amount of liquid.

It is recommended that children be given Lambrotin syrup (15 mg ambroxol in 5 ml) in the following doses:
up to 2 years – 2.5 mg 2 times a day;
from 2 to 5 years – 2.5 ml 3 times a day;
over 5 years – 5 ml 2-3 times a day.
Adults are recommended to take 10 ml of Lambrotin syrup (30 mg ambroxol in 5 ml) 2-3 times a day.
For treatment lasting more than 7–14 days, the dose is reduced by half.
It is not recommended to use without medical prescription for more than 4-5 days.
During treatment, it is necessary to drink a lot of liquid (juices, tea, water), as it enhances the mucolytic effect of the drug.
